Prevent 2 Protect Presents Basic Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management Training

Prevent 2 Protect will host a session of the basic Michigan Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management Training (Mi-BTAM) on August 25, 2025. The Basic Training is a one-day workshop that covers topics such as understanding school violence and implications for prevention, steps for developing and operating an effective school threat assessment program, and developing and implementing case management plans. Mi-BTAM training is based upon research and best practices developed by the United States Secret Service (also known as the National Threat Assessment Center, or NTAC, model of school threat assessment). This course will be taught by Prevent 2 Protect’s Ellery Sosebee and Traci Austin.
