Athena Dila, BA

Regional Mentor

A recent graduate of the University of Michigan, Athena Dila serves as a Prevent 2 Protect Regional Mentor in the West Shore Intensive Support Team. Athena earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a focus on developmental psychology, adolescent development, and research methods.

Helping youth across a variety of settings, Athena discovered her passion for working with children. As a substitute teacher in multiple school districts throughout the West Shore region, she supported students from preschool through high school in both general and special education classrooms.

Athena brings a strong commitment to service and leadership, with a history of serving as Student Senate President at West Shore Community College and volunteer experiences at UM. While volunteering at UM, she worked with preschool-aged children and adults in a forensic psychiatry setting where she gained valuable insight into the diverse needs of individuals across life stages.

She is dedicated to supporting young people and helping them reach their full potential. She is excited to bring her knowledge, compassion, and dedication to the students and families served by Prevent 2 Protect.
