Lieza Klemm comes from Michigan State University’s College of Communication Arts and Sciences with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a concentration in broadcasting.
Lieza has a background in storytelling and media, bringing a diverse skill set and proven track record in compelling content creation, social media strategy, and the dissemination of accurate information. Her expertise comes from monitoring social media analytics and creating engaging content for various podcasts.
In addition to working on multiple podcasts, Lieza reported for WKAR Public Radio, the National Public Radio affiliate housed at Michigan State University. At WKAR, Lieza covered a variety of topics, including infrastructure, education, health, and human-interest stories. This role deepened her love for non-profit programming and public media and allowed her to develop a nuanced understanding of the needs of the Greater Lansing community. Passionate about using communication as a tool for education and community impact, Lieza is dedicated to bridging the gap between research, policy, and everyday understanding. Through her role at Prevent 2 Protect, she strives to create informed conversations that help protect youth, support schools, and strengthen communities.
