Dr. Penner is a developmental pediatrician and senior clinician scientist at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital in Toronto and an associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Toronto. Her clinical and research interests are in autism. She is interested in service delivery for this population, including evaluating the impact of new care models. She also leads an international project that is aiming to understand why some autistic/neurodivergent people become involved with extreme ideologies. Dr. Penner is dedicated to including the voices of autistic individuals in her work to improve our understanding of their experiences and to provide better care.
