Ashlyn Richardson brings extensive experience in education, behavioral health, and case management to her role as regional mentor for Prevent 2 Protect in Calhoun County. Having a background in both special education and psychiatric care, Ashlyn is dedicated to supporting students’ academic and emotional growth while fostering safe, nurturing environments where young people can thrive.
Before being a mentor with Prevent 2 Protect, Ashlyn served as a special education teacher and case manager at Harper Creek Community Schools, where she worked closely with students with cognitive and emotional impairments. In that role, she developed individualized education and behavior intervention plans, coordinated with families and community agencies, and advocated for students’ inclusion and success in school. She also brings several years of experience in healthcare, including psychiatric and correctional settings, where she provided compassionate care and crisis support.
Ashlyn earned her Bachelor of Health and Human Services from Western Governors University and her Associate of Science from Kellogg Community College. She is CPI certified in crisis de-escalation.
As a regional mentor for Calhoun County, Ashlyn partners with schools, families, and community organizations to strengthen connections, promote emotional wellness, and empower students to reach their full potential through prevention and early intervention.
