EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) -By helping one, we can save many; that’s the motto at the heart of a violence intervention program out of Michigan State University.
Prevent 2 Protect is the only violence intervention program of its kind, making its start in 2022, just a few short years after a tragic mass shooting at Oxford High School.
“When we’ve gone out and talked to parents, talked to schools, we have a great number of people, almost everyone is saying, this is needed,” said child and adolescent psychiatrist and Prevent 2 Protect Director Alyse Ley.
