Prevent 2 Protect is thankful to the Trust for Trauma Journalism for the opportunity to discuss the project during its third-annual National Trauma Journalism Symposium. Director Dr. Ley, Project Manager Danielle Murphy, and Law Enforcement Liaison Ellery Sosebee sat on a panel to answer questions from journalists about covering mass violence events and how to approach similar situations. By presenting on the project and answering questions during the panel discussion, attendants now have a broader understanding of what informed reporting of a mass violence occurrence should include.
