Prevent 2 Protect partnered with the Michigan State Police’s Office of School Safety to offer Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management training. Attendees traveled from across the state of Michigan to participate in the basic and advanced training that spanned over two days. There were an additional two days of training for “Train the Trainer” instruction, coaching educators, mental health professionals, and law enforcement personnel on how to effectively teach the BTAM training. This empowers partners to go into their communities and educate groups on the critical role of BTAM in preventing violence.
